Alysha graduated from the Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy. Alysha has previously worked in a private practise clinic treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries. Alongside the clinic she was the physio for a high school and received further training to work in programmes for chronic pain management, vocational gym based rehabilitation and community physio to help patients regain independence. Outside of the clinic work she spent a few years as the physiotherapist for rugby teams around the North Shore. Through her training she also gained experience in areas of respiratory, neuro and post-op orthopaedics physio. She has had Pilates training with the talented trainers here at Peak.
Alysha is passionate about taking a holistic approach with patients to optimise achieving their goals and reducing pain. She utilises a combination of education, hands on manual therapy, functional exercise based rehabilitation and looking into one’s health and well-being.
When she is not working she enjoys going to the gym and a variety of exercise classes, pilates, the nice hikes around Auckland and trying out new food spots.
