Joanna is a chartered physiotherapist, Sports Massage therapist and Pilates instructor from Scotland. She graduated from Northumbria University in England with a Bsc Hons degree in physiotherapy. Prior to training as a physiotherapist, Joanna rowed for Scotland at the Home Internationals Regatta and also won gold at the Gent International Regatta. Joanna also worked as a Swimming teacher throughout her studies with a Level 2 in Teaching of Aquatics certified by Scottish Swimming.
Joanna worked in the NHS for 2.5 years gaining experience in many different areas of physiotherapy such as: stroke rehabilitation, respiratory, A&E, medicine of the elderly, and oncology. Joanna has decided to pursue her career in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and is keen to incorporate her broad range of knowledge and skills developed in the NHS to her practice.
Outside of work, Joanna loves maintaining an active lifestyle and socializing with friends including cross-fit, cycling, and walking. Joanna has moved to New Zealand to experience the countries active lifestyle and experience it’s natural beauty. She has taken up open water swimming by taking part in the beach series and has decided to start training for triathlons with her goal to compete in the Half Iron man event.
