Katie first experienced yoga in 2013 while attending university back in her home state of Florida. She enjoys living an active lifestyle and loves how yoga improves her mobility and calms the mind. Seeing the benefits of the practice, she wanted to learn more about biomechanics. Since moving to New Zealand at the beginning of 2020, Katie has completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training and instructs in gyms and studios around Auckland. After a decade-long career in the hotel industry excelling in multiple departments from customer service to finance, she is excited to be a part of Peak Pilates and Physio family.
Katie is full of passion and enthusiasm and as a yoga teacher focuses on accessibility, personal expression, and freedom so that students can grow at their own pace and in their own way. She is deeply grateful and humbled to share this profound and beautiful path of yoga with others.
In her free time, Katie enjoys the outdoors, hiking and camping in the mountains with her partner, Will. You can usually find her running to a CrossFit or yoga class or sipping a new craft beer!
