Our team

We’re proud of our team of experienced and professional Pilates instructors, physiotherapists and massage therapists.

All our instructors are carefully trained in the Peak method, based on our studies and scientific research, and receive 140 hours training and spend six months teaching before becoming certified.

We have a full-time quality-control-qualified physiotherapist and an elite Pilates director regularly
assessing and developing all our instructors’ skills.

The Peak story

The first Peak studio opened in Alma Street, Newmarket in 2003, and we’ve since grown to seven locations across Auckland.
Peak Pilates & Physiotherapy is family owned and managed Jason Richardson.

Jason Richardson - Director

Jason Richardson
Director

Jason was a professional tennis player and qualified coach, before a back injury led to his belief in the benefits of Pilates.

He went on to train at the internationally renowned Pilates Institute in London and with Stott Pilates. Jason’s passion for sharing his knowledge with others led him to develop his own Pilates method, Stability Plus Pilates, and opened the first Peak Pilates and Physiotherapy studio in Newmarket in 2003.

Lorna Richardson - Group Clinical lead

Lorna Richardson
Group Clinical lead
B.Sc (Hons) Physio (UK), MCSP, RPT (Hong Kong), RPT NZ

A successful competitor in athletics and gymnastics, injury prompted Lorna’s interest in physiotherapy and how it can help everyone.

As one of the first physios to bring Pilates to New Zealand, Lorna has treated everyone from Olympians to movie stars to people with head injuries and neurological conditions in her career. She’s constantly upskilling both herself and her staff to stay on top of the latest research based courses, techniques and methods.

Lorna and Jason both welcome you to Peak.
